THEATRE
Catch Laughter Therapy — Class Act 2 at the NCPA

The NCPA and Silly Point Productions present Laughter Therapy — Class Act 2, the second in the Class Act series. Written and directed by Meherzad Patel, the cast includes popular theatre actors Danesh Irani, Danesh Khambata, Sajeel Parakh, Meher Acharia and Afshad Kelawala. Following the success of The Class Act, a play that brought together a Parsi, a Hindu, a Muslim and a Goan-Christian to display and deconstruct the caste and class stereotypes that exist in our society, they’re back with a sequel.

Deepa Gahlot, head of programming (Theatre & Film) at the NCPA, tells us, “NCPA Productions was initiated to support and promote popular, good quality theatre across the country. With successful productions like Tuesdays With Morrie, The Government Inspector and The Buckingham Secret, we are very excited about Laughter Therapy and look forward to another hit.” Laughter Therapy revolves around four men who have done something illegal/ inappropriate, are having trouble facing their fears and are forced to undergo court-ordered therapy.
