Art of cricket at Tao Art Gallery
If you enjoy both sports and art, head to Tao Art Gallery for an interesting combination in an exhibition titled Art of Cricket. The exhibition will showcase paintings by Christina Pierce, who has displayed her works at the Royal Academy of Art, Lords and Brit Oval, Albemarle Gallery, London, Taj Hotel and Kent House, London. With her paintings, Christina has captured the spirit of the game, as well as depicted players such as Shane Warne, Andrew Strauss, Freddie Flintoff, Kevin Pietersen, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Sunil Gavaskar, Imran Khan, Arvinda D’Silva, M.S Dhoni, Brian Lara, and Vivian Richards — capturing players from the youthful grass roots to the test arena. Christina tells us, “This is my first visit to India and I am looking forward to this exhilarating experience of combining my art and love for cricket with the wonderful food, music and culture of India.”

McDonald’s has launched a new campaign called #DaretoChoose, primarily to add a twist to their classic burgers by introducing McVeggie Twist and McChicken Twist. Kedar Teny, marketing and digital director at McDonald’s India, tells us, “The key focus is on providing our customers with a delectable meal comprising of good food and to offer them a wide variety of wholesome modern choices at great prices.” This new range of burgers is infused with fresh lettuce, onions, slices of tomato, dollops of cheese and onion sauce topped with oregano seasoning and a corn meal dusted bun. The price of a medium McVeggie Twist value meal is `140 and the McChicken Twist burger is priced at Rs 150, inclusive of taxes.

Film Bazaar by NFDC
The Film Bazaar, organised by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), is back with its 8th edition. The festival focuses on discovering, supporting and showcasing the South Asian film fraternity, and will be taking place at the Marriott Resort in Goa. Nina Lath Gupta, managing director of NFDC India, tells us “We are excited to launch new sections at Film Bazaar this year, including film offices, investor pitch and romance screenwriters’ lab.
