‘FUN’ctional Art
One of the most sought after galleries in Mumbai, Tradition Art, presents its Exhibition titled FUNctional Art. The exhibition showcases the creative flair of leading artists who have created lifestyle products such as tables, stools, chairs, jewellery, handbags, candle stands and more. To make their third year more meaningful, they are donating part of the proceeds to the Make a Wish Foundation. As for the artists contributing to the exhibition, “Creating lifestyle products is a first time for many of the artists like Lalitha Lajmi, Naina Kanodia (painting on fibre glass). They have enjoyed expressing their creativity on products others than canvas,” says Bina Aziz of Traditional Art. Indian Idol and music director Salim Merchant and director Siddharth Malhotra will inaugurate the exhibition.

Art for Smiles
Art For Smiles is an art show for charity. The show will be held on a weekend each month to generate charity. The funds will go towards various NGO’s supported by the Give India Foundation. The show will present a large spectrum of works and styles with around 100 works of various upcoming (as well as established artists). Artists such as Nayana Kanodia, Anjolie Ela Menon, Jayasri Burman, Yusuf Arrakkal and Laila Khan as well as the upcoming Ramesh Gorjala and Bhumika Takshak will be featured. “Keeping in mind the quality of their art and their long standing commitment to the Indian contemporary art scenario, challenging the ups and downs of the so called market forces; undeterred, they forge ahead in the true spirit of creativity,” says curator Minaz Cassum.

The Switch

The story revolves around an unmarried 40-year-old woman (Aniston) who turns to a turkey baster in order to become pregnant.
