The National Geographic Channel’s new show — The 90s: The Great Indian Dream — celebrates the highs and lows of the ’90s. The decade of transformation saw tragedy, emotion and drama go hand in hand. The series focuses on iconic highlights of the ’90s, including Sachin Tendulkar’s rise, the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi, the horrific militancy in Kashmir and a series of bombs that rocked the nation. Swati Mohan, business head at NGC Networks and FOX International Channels, says, “The ’90s were perhaps the most dynamic years that shaped India’s progress and have played a major role in our present as well. We are excited to premiere two special documentaries, both Indian productions, which look back on a decade that never saw a dull moment.”
