What better way to start your Sunday morning than by listening to classical music melodies in their unembellished and natural forms? Prithvi Theatre brings to you this experience with a unique acoustic performance of Indian Classical music to be enjoyed in a manner in which it was supposed to be — an intimate Baithak. Udayswar at Prithvi is a concert of morning ragas that allows the audience the intimacy of a Baithak along with the enhanced acoustics offered by Prithvi Theatre. Taking place on the third Sunday of every month, the event features various vocal and instrumental artists. This Sunday the concert will showcase the skills of Kala Ramnath, a vocalist and instrumentalist who has been bestowed with the Sangeet Natak Akademi award. Kala comes from a unique musical lineage going back seven generations. So, allow this musical morning to refresh and rejuvenate you, unadulterated by microphones and amplifications.
