The Marathi play, Don Special, set in December 1989, takes place in a newspaper office in Pune between 9.30pm and midnight. Describing a complex event in the life of Milind Bhagwat, the newspaper’s night shift’s chief sub-editor, the play highlights the struggle faced by an honest man who is struck between enduring values on one side and eternal love on the other. Written and directed by Kshitij Patwardhan, the play features artists Girija Oak Godbole, Rohit Haldikar and Jitendra Joshi.
