Reality TV just got more interesting with a new fashion show on air says Rhea Dhanbhoora
If The Devil Wears Prada was your favourite movie and you’ve been flipping past channels to find the perfect TV show for a fashionista like you, stop clicking when you reach Big CBS Love. The channel is all set to kickstart their newest show, from the creators of Project Runway and America’s Next Top Model. Called Stylista, it’s set in the wild world of the fashion magazine industry and features a tug-of-war for a coveted job with a top fashion magazine.
The show, which premiers on Sunday, includes eleven aspiring fashion enthusiasts who will vie for an editorial job with a top fashion magazine. They will work as assistants to the magazine’s editor. Anne Slowey, Elle’s fashion and news director and Joe Zee, the magazine’s creative director will head the search.
Business head Vishal Rally says, “We at Big CBS are glad to be the first ones to bring Stylista to the Indian audience. We have introduced the show keeping in mind the entertainment preferences of the urban Indian women. The show has just the right proportions of glamour, showbiz, glitz with a balance of what happens behind the scenes.”
The winner will get an editorial position, a lease on an apartment and clothing allowance at H&M.
