Shirley Mistry tells you about the second edition of State of Style
A fter a successful first run, State of Style is back with another edition and this time, the theme is Black Tie. A modern take on Cinderella, the event gives women the opportunity to have a night out, where they can start by pampering themselves, followed by an after-party at Long & Short — The Gastrobar.
State of Style is the brainchild of an experience-based company called ACCESSED, which was started by Aditi Khandelwal and Surkeha Rao, along with MISU Image Consultants, Mitali Sagar and Summiya Patni. You can look forward to having your hair and makeup done by Jean Claude Biguine and Guerlain, try on clothes and shoes by Kitsch and Heel & Buckle, get manicures and foot massages by Maybelline and Rewa Escape, sample perfumes by Elie Saab and head to the photo booth by Snapix. To make travel less troublesome, they have tied up with cab service Uber, to provide you with pick up and drop service. We asked the organisers from ACCESSED and MISU Image Consultants about the event and they explained, “After a brilliant response the first time, we plan to make the second edition even bigger and better. We have spent a lot of time planning the event, with the aim to take it a notch higher and associate it with different brands, to give women varied, fashionable options.”
