The moment you enter the spa, all the street noise dies out and you feel as though you are out of the city. The interiors of the spa are subtle and pleasant. It has French windows all around and all the stations have a direct view of the sea, allowing you to stare at the horizon, as your mind drifts far away while you get pampered.
Around two months old, the spa offers Thai massages, foot massages, Rope massage therapy, Shiatsu body therapy, facials, manicures and pedicures in a price range of `650 to `2,200. None of their massages are oil based nor do you have to undress. So it saves you the time and trouble of taking a shower after your massage.
It is the first spa in India to introduce an ancient Thai massage called Tok-Sen, where wooden tools are used to release stress from your body. They use only packs made by the owner, Khushboo Vakharia, which are made using fresh ingredients such as orange, papaya, strawberries, turmeric and avocados. The service is excellent and the staff is well-trained and extremely friendly.
I tried the Tok-Sen massage (`2,500) as it put me in a completely relaxed state. I also got a Turmeric Detox Ritual (`1,000) where they wrap your feet in turmeric paste. It left my feet looking fresh and nourished.
They have put a lot of thought into making sure that their guests feel comfortable and at peace. Rewa Escape Spa is a place where you can bask in the sunlight and befriend nature. Anyone who visits the spa will surely leave with new ideas, thoughts and a relaxed self. I cannot think of a better place to re- energise one’s body, mind and soul!
