The Godrej India Culture Lab will be hosting three exciting events this pride month in association with the Queer Azaadi Movement (QAM). They are looking to explore the youth culture within the Indian LGBTQ movement that is now pushing beyond boundaries of activism and finding new ways to express and celebrate queerness. They have the Queer Networking Now where a panel discussion will explore how new safe spaces are being created within the Indian LGBTQ community in terms of physical and digital, whereas the Queer Theatre will host the stage performance of Ehsaas, a lesbian coming-of-age play by the Asmita Theatre Group. You can even meet the founders, Ishaan Sethi of Delta App, Koninika Roy of Yaariyan, Sachin Jain of GHAR and Sakshi Juneja of Gaysi to name a few. What’s more! On 20th January, they have planned Queer Aesthetics, which will examine how the community expresses themselves visually and creatively through cinema, fashion and performance. Don’t miss the grand finale dance performance by Dancing Queens this month!
