Head down to Prithvi Theatre to make the most of the last few days of your child’s summer holidays, says Rhea Dhanbhoora
Take your children down to watch a fun play that follows the misadventures of two little thieves on a secret treasure hunt.
There’s only a while left for school to re-open so get them involved in theatre by taking them to watch the Thespo Kids at their latest show, staging Late Shri Badal Sircar’s Beyond the Land of Hattamala. Quasar, Padamsee, tells us, “Badal Babu’s work has always been about asking questions to our society and this is especially true of the play. It is such a wonderfully idealistic tale, perfect for the children in the workshop and the children in the audience.”
The play revolves around two thieves named Kena and Becha and follows them on the run. The story goes on about how they find themselves in a land where they steal in broad daylight without ever getting caught. Watch whether they uncover the secret treasure and stay at the edge of your seat all through the play, wondering if they will get caught or not.
