An art show showcasing acrylic paintings by contemporary artist Arabinda Samanta, Passion for Enlightenment is worth a visit this weekend. The paintings draw inspiration from India mythology and Arabinda brings out the subconscious through spiritual liberation. Arabinda tells us, “I am deeply inspired by Indian mythology, spirituality and the power of meditation. Based on this, and the idea I have of how a soul develops while attaining spiritual liberation / freedom, I have created this series. My work showcases vivid feelings of the human mind. While creating this series, which exemplifies various sentimental mindscapes, I listened to the voice from my inner subconscious mind and have drawn from the various experiences around as well as my artistic perceptions. I look forward to a great response from the art fraternity for my new creations.”
