The festival is going to host various art forms, ranging from the conventional paintings, wood carvings and bangle making to live stone carving, Madhubani tribal art, paper mache, clay modelling, metal wire art and more.
The five-day cultural fest, called Navi Mumbai Art Festival 2013, will be held at Urban Haat. The 3km area will see 200 artists from India participating with live demonstrations, fine arts, seminars, workshops, dances, fusion performances and food art. The festival will also have music and dance performances by distinguished artists and groups, ranging from classical to contemporary and Indian folk. Works of renowned sculptors such as Ram Kumar Manna for terracotta art, Pradip Shinde’s Crow Series, Rajan Gole’s miniature paper art and Shirish Karale’s photography will be a visual treat. Also on display will be amazing works by veteran artist late S. M. Pandit, Mulgaonkar, S. A. Shaikh, Inder Sharma, Achyut Palav and other renowned artists.
