The latest addition to Juhu’s shopping arcade is a home decor store. Henna Achhpal finds out whether you should prepare to shop till you drop or give it a miss
Opened shop in October, Bianca is a flagship store of the Mangal Exports Group that has been exporting home decor products for almost 25 years. Products from Bianca are already available at stores such as Tresorie, Shopper’s Stop, Home Stop and Bombay Store, so it isn’t a completely unfamiliar name. But, this is the first exclusive store. Director Neeta Dalal, says, “Earlier, only a select range of our products were available at various stores. We decided to open a flagship store so that the entire collection could be available in one place.”
Bianca is one of the few home decor stores in the midst of all the clothes stores in the shopping arcade, which is enough reason to pull crowds. It is well lit with neatly organised racks that invite you to step in and have a look.
Since they export abroad, the products are of Western sensibilities but have an authentic Indian touch. You can expect usual home decor such as bed spreads, pillow covers and towels but they also house unique items such as decorative tissue box covers, curtain holders, napkin rings (left: `610 for a set of 6), coffee table napkins (`325 for a set of 6) and fancy coasters. They also offer dining table sets and bedroom sets priced between `2,000 - `3,000. It’s the go to store when you have guests coming over or are struggling to decide a gift for a wedding. Accessories from Bianca can be used to give your home a warm feeling or as great gifting options. Bianca’s products are moderately priced and exclusive enough to make your home look more beautiful.
