Theatre 2 To Tango 3 To Jive
Yamini Walia tells you about the 50th screening of Saurabh Shukla’s play – 2 to Tango 3 to Jive
Head to Bhaidas Auditorium to enjoy the 50th screening of 2 to Tango and 3 to Jive, directed by Saurabh Shukla. He appears as an artist in the play along with Achint Kaur, Sadiya Siddiqui and Preiti Mamgain. The play revolves around the proverbial mid-life crisis and how it effects Parminder Singh Sethi’s (played by Saurabh Shukla) mundane existence. Torn between continuing with his monotonous life and the enticing prospect of turning things around, Parminder begins a delightful journey that ebbs and flows with practical, comic, ambivalent, confusing and passionate tides. The interesting complexities of his life are brought out in the play.
Saurabh is a national award winner and has won accolades for his performances in several theatre acts, television series and films. He is also a successful writer and director. Saurabh’s biggest break came when he co-wrote the script for Ram Gopal Varma’s 1998 cult classic Satya and essayed the role of gangster Kallu Mama. Saurabh is also affiliated with the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, in the capacity of academic council member and visiting faculty.
