Event: Boss Dialogues
Dev Goswami tells you why Bollywood cinema buffs should head to Escobar this Sunday
Boss Dialogues is a series of conversations that film journalist Indu Mirani has with a number of iconic film directors. The concept has been around for quite some time now and so far, she has interviewed directors such as Kabir Khan, Farah Khan and Farhan Akhtar. This time, Karan Johar will be her guest.
Karan has produced and directed a number of blockbusters under his banner Dharma Productions. He’s also known for his warm personality and at Boss Dialogues, he’ll be talking about everything from movies to life.
Speaking about the event, Indu says, “Though Karan Johar began his career with escapist mainstream cinema such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, both of which were big successes, he soon found his true calling in exploring films with multi-layered relationships such as Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and My Name is Khan. But, as a producer he has really diversified; whether with Kurbaan, Wake up Sid or Gippi.” Opening the night will be stand-up comic Anuvab Pal. Entry is free, but you’ll need to register in advance.
