In a cinematic journey that explores how the world views India in contemporary times and how India represents itself internationally, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (CSMVS) will be hosting a film festival this weekend, titled India and the World: The Changing Narrative. Exploring the new narratives that India has put forth through cinema, the film festival will showcase films such as Newton, Lipstick Under My Burkha, Mukti Bhawan, Qarib Qarib Single, Ajji, Bareilly Ki Barfi and A Death in the Gunj. It will also include a panel discussion focusing on ‘The Changing Narrative’ with Konkona Sen Sharma, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Niranjan Iyengar and Siddharth Kumar Anand as panellists. With a weekend filled with thought-provoking movies that have set out to change the face of Indian cinema, head over to the museum for some great movie watching, especially if you’re a cinephile like us.
