A CALL TO ALL THEATRE ENTHUSIASTS
Premier youth theatre festival, Thespo is dedicated to showcasing the best of youth theatre in the country. With workshops, gigs, platform performances and much more, you can get right in the midst of all things theatre with the festival. Started 15 years ago by Theatre Group Bombay along with QTP, it’s a place for theatre enthusiasts to come together and showcase their talent.
Whether you want to showcase your theatrical talent or have a play to stage, get started — as long as you’re under 25-years-old. All you need is a play that’s an hour long, in any language or genre.
Thespo will conduct a month-long multi-city audition process and select four to six plays from over 90 countries to stage as part of their festival in December. The plays will also become eligible for the mentorship programme and the best will be awarded for outstanding actor, actress, production design and more.
Festival manager, Mithila Palkar, says, “We are looking forward to more participation than ever before. I must admit, I am a little jealous. I would have loved to be acting in any of the plays registering. ” Register this weekend itself to make sure you can make it!
