The third edition of the International Clown Festival will be held at High Street Phoenix, where several artists such as Dee Dee, Skiddles, Lo Lo, Toto, Puff & Flubber will be performing. The festival will feature stage shows, pantomimes, jugglers, magicians, puppeteers, acrobats, bubble artists, stilt walkers, balloon sculptors and face painters.
Rajendra Kalkar, senior centre director at The Phoenix Mills Limited, tells us, “We are proud to associate ourselves with The International Clown Festival. This is one of the oldest art forms in the world and the festival’s recurrence every year in the city proves its sustained popularity. The featured performers have performed in the popular Ringling Brothers Circus and Cirque Du Soleil, so we are sure that the initiative will be a rip-roaring success.”
If you have always aspired to be a clown and did not know where to start, this festival also gives you the opportunity to attend some of their hands-on workshops on juggling and balloons for both beginners and professionals. Entry to the festival is free.
