Gallery 7 will be hosting a special exhibition this weekend curated by owner Nicholai Sachdev himself. Titled Legends of Baroda, the show exhibits the work of two legendary Indian artists, K.G. Subramanyan and the late Bhupen Khakkar. The artists have gained fame for their abstract and figurative work. The pieces on display include figurative drawings that tell a story about Baroda, which is known for its cultural and art heritage. Nicholai explains, “The exhibition was curated with the importance of both the artists and the impact Baroda had on their work in mind. The collection spans over 30 years of their body of work. Considering that both artists are quite elusive, it was important for us to showcase both their collections under one roof.”
