The McDowell Signature Indian Derby 2014 promises to be an event where sport meets glamour. While the bolting action and the charged atmosphere on the turf is certain to get your adrenalin pumping, a host of performers will entertain race goers. Many international performers such as Serenity Sisters will engage the audiences with their spectacular Broadway act and Asia’s leading lady magician Yong Tian will perform some of her enthralling acts as well. The derby weekend will also feature live music by indie rock band The Mr. Printer Band and One Nite Stand, who will perform various crowd favourites.
For those keen on fashion, Shane & Falguni Peacock will showcase their collection, along with fashion designer Swapnil Shinde.
To enhance the experience, race-goers can indulge in the luxurious air conditioned hangar, replete with a flea market and a carnival like experience. Dr Vijay Mallya, chairman of the UB Group, says, “This year, we have put together an exciting mix of fashion and international entertainment to make the weekend extremely memorable for our customers and racing patrons.
