Organised by E-Bizz Entertainment India Pvt. Ltd, the Lit-O-Fest, is set to make its debut at Sir JJ School of Arts and Architecture. The two-day festival will offer participating writers the opportunity to be heard, seen and published. You can also head to some workshops on the Hindi language such as the ‘Hindi - How Popular?,’ ‘Hindi bhi hai trendy!,’ ‘Aao Hindi, Sapne Dekhein’, and ‘Hansi Gulzar Hai,’ a humour writing workshop in Hindi. The festival will also present talks with several literary legends such as Gulzaar Sahab, Javed Akhtar, Hasan Kamal and music icons such as Hariharan, Jaspinder Narula, Abhijit Pohankar, Pandit Jitu Shankar, Anup Jalota, Gioconda and Talat Aziz. Smita Parikh, the festival director, says, “Lit-O-Fest is extraordinary in every sense. From the time we conceptualised it, the plan was to do the unthinkable — to bring together established, emerging and minority writers on one platform for the very first time! With engaging sessions featuring iconic authors, the festival has diligently allocated equal space and attention to young and talented English, Hindi as well as regional language authors. With book designers, painters, illustrators and musicians all under one roof, we have set out to create a never-seen-before literature carnival for everyone.”
