Get ready to clown about
After the enthusiastic response that Mumbai’s Farmers’ Market received in its previous two appearances, the market is back for its third season. Starting this Sunday, farmers’ market will be held every Sunday up to April 29, 2012.
Started by eco-nutritionist Kavita Mukhi, the Farmers’ Market is an attempt to bring the farmers directly in contact with the end consumer without any wholesalers or retailers in between. You can purchase fresh, locally grown organic produce. There will be plenty of vegetables such as cauliflower, capsicum, bottle gourd, bitter gourd, spinach and fruits such as oranges, sweet lime, papaya and custard apples along with organic rice, honey, jaggery, pulses, ghee, paneer and milk.
If you wish to participate at the market to promote natural, organic and earth-friendly initiatives or want to exhibit your culinary skills at the organic cafe, you can email Kavita Mukhi for more details.
When: Sundays, 10 am to 4 pm
Where: October to November: Bhalla House, 97 Hill Road, Opposite St. Andrew’s Church, Bandra (West); December to April: Turf Club, Mahalaxmi Race Course
