A FUN FILLED DISCUSSION
British Council, together with Creative Scotland, is organising the first Edinburgh Festival Fringe Roadshow in India, across Bangalore, New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Roadshow brings together artists, comedians, dancers and musicians across India to talk about the largest performing arts festival in the world, through a discussion with four speakers from India and the United Kingdom. The Roadshow is also a networking opportunity for artists to meet and discuss collaborative ideas for one of the most experimental festivals in the world.
Some of India’s biggest performing artists such, as the renowned band Indian Ocean and well-known comedians Papa CJ, Vir Das and Tanmay Bhatt have performed at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Kath M Mainland, chief executive for Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, says, “On this trip, I’m really looking forward to engaging with more Indian artists, from all art forms — encouraging them to think about a visit to the world’s largest arts festival, and exploring the possibilities of them taking part in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the future.” The roadshow has limited seating, so RSVP soon.
