Launched late last year, Bombay Shirt Company (BSC) is still relatively new to the fashion market. However, their classy website has been on our radar for quite some time now. They have a detailed bespoke service that allows you to design your own shirt from scratch or make changes to one of their readymade designs.
As far as the whole customisation process is concerned, it promises to be a breeze. They even have a measurement video on their website that will deconstruct the whole process of measuring yourself. They will also be launching an online customisation application that will allow you to choose from a number of customisation options that you can view online. Yes, it’s all online.
They have a detailed customisation process which, according to us, ensures that by the end of the whole process, you’ll land up with a shirt that you can call your very own. Not only do they offer a number of fabrics, they will also help you create your own design by letting you choose between a combination of cuffs, collars, buttons and plackets. Quite expectedly, you can also personalise your shirt by monogramming your initials onto the final shirt design.
They have also just launched a service called Travelling Tailor that is perfect for those who lead busy lives. Under this service, a Travelling Tailor will visit your home, take your measurements and help you choose between the range of fabrics. At the same time, you can design, style and customise the shirt to your taste and preference.
You can book an appointment by either calling on the number (see box) or visiting their website. And as far as the price range is concerned, their readymade shirts are priced at Rs 1,880 onwards, so you can expect to spend more than that depending on the fabric you choose to get tailored.
