If seeking adventure is your passion, head over to the mud rush. Gargi Bansod tells you more about the challenging event

It’s time to get your hands and feet dirty as you overcome hurdles and get past challenging obstacles at the adventure filled event — The Mud Rush. The Mud Rush (TMR) is an all-terrain, marathon style run that stretches across a 7km circuit, with challenging obstacles designed by the Indian Special Forces team from Z-Bac. This international property, brought to India for the first time, encompasses 30 foot stacks of hay, water bodies, barrier walls, tires stretching up to 100 feet, 45º hills, fire, ice, and a lot of mud.

Some of the obstacle events at The Mud Rush include Barb Wire, Sobriety Walk, Fire Obstacle, Pipes, Drums, Color’d Smoke, Fireworks, Foam Party, Water Slide, Hay Stacks, Tight Net, Hurdles, Tyres, Slope Climbing, Ice Plunge Bar, High Pressured Showers and Trappers Web. The event circuit is located in Kolad, a prime destination for adventure sports, just two hours away from the city. You can also camp out at the venue, before and after the event.

The fun doesn’t stop there. Once the rush is completed, you will get to wine, dine and celebrate your accomplishments. The Mud Rush recreational area will feature several cover bands playing great music, along with an array of food and beverages. As the day proceeds, The Mud Rush team has organised a post-event Sun-Downer party at the venue, with international and domestic DJs, such as tyDi, Dinka, Weekend Heroes, Martin Roth and Q.U.A.K.E and Flippers, giving you another reason to celebrate your achievements and party in the heart of nature.

The goal of The Mud Rush is not just to test your endurance and physical stamina, but also to push your mental grit. This race is not intended just for the super athletic but for the entire family. It requires you to unleash all your energy and head for the finish line. Paras Turakhia, CEO of The Mud Rush, says “The Mud Rush is about syncing your attitude and spirit and never bowing down to any obstacle that comes your way. That's how you live life as a Mud Rusher, the TMR Way!”

You can participate individually or as a team, wearing unique uniforms and competing in the unique outfit competition as well. You can bypass challenges or even exit the race at any point. If you just want to cheer your friends on, spectator passes are also available.

The Mud Rush is donating a share of all the proceedings to benefit an Army Related NGO. The event is a great way to work out, test yourself, party and help a social cause.
