Experience the surreal relationship between man and nature on canvas as Khevna Pandit tells you more about A Surreal Dream
Explore a wide range of paintings in this exhibition as artist Vinayak Jagdale paints the complex relationship between man and nature on canvas. Reflected vibrantly, but grounded in exotic colour schemes, these paintings conceptualise the artist’s vision of abstract and intangible aspects by transforming them into a powerful spiritual reflection. He has used blurry lines, merging of swirl patterns and rectangles dotted with tiny circles to depict the appreciation of the natural world. Pritam Deuskar, gallery owner and organiser, tells us “A platograph is as good as a painting and because of its convenience, it has become very popular. Earlier, it was known as lithography and is quite an ancient technique. In lithography, one used a stone to get the prints while here we use a plate. Like painting, platographs have come to acquire an important place in the art world as they make expensive art pieces available to people in affordable rates.”
