Event The Dressing Room Pop-Up

Dev Goswami tells you about The Dressing Room Pop-Up, featuring several leading India’s designers

Next week, The Dressing Room is bringing together a multitude of leading fashion designers who will display their designs in contemporary, couture, ethnic and Indian wear. Also on display will be clothing for children as well as jewellery. The pop-up features designers from ENSEMBLE and Melange Singapore. ENSEMBLE will display work by designers such as Anamika Khanna, Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna, Gaurav Gupta and Pankaj & Nidhi. Melange Singapore, on the other hand, is bringing with it Pakistani designers such as Maheen Karim, Mina Hasan, Honey Waqar and Sanaya Maskatiya, all of whom will showcase enticing, hand-embroidered garments.

Other designers who will be part of the pop-up include Manish Arora, Aarti Vijay Gupta, SVA, Quirkbox, Papa Don't Preach, Nisha Sainani, Nez by Neha Agarwal, Purvi Doshi, Peppermint Diva, Ezra and Surendri By Yogesh, along with designers from Lakmé Fashion Week. Apart from clothing, you can also look forward to jewellery from brands such as Anmol, Alpana Gujral, Adaa, MAIA and Rosetta. The section for kidswear, home decor, high fashion art deco and eccentric jewellery, meanwhile, will feature the work of Suhani Pittie, Valliyan by Nitya, PRERTO, Beetle and Bottle, Little Pixie, MooBaa and Arvi Shah of Petals.

Shilpi Jatia & Rituu Bagrodia, the owners of The Dressing Room, tell us, “We are really excited this season because we have collaborated with two major fashion houses, and are introducing several first time designers. We always strive to keep up with what our customers desire and need.” With some of the country’s top designers showcasing their work, you should not miss out on heading over to check out this pop-up. What’s more is that the proceeds of the exhibition will be donated to Helping Hands and the Aarti Singal Foundation.
