Want to share a quiet moment with your loved one? Here are some of the most romantic spots in town
Carter Road: If you’ve never spent an evening watching the sun set and drinking roadside coffee at Carter Road (right), you’re missing out on a lot more than romance. The weather is perfect, with the sea breeze adding to the charm. Go around 9pm to avoid the crowd. Don’t venture on the rocks though!
Nariman Point, promenade: While most people are buzzing around Worli seaface, go further in to the posh, more corporate Nariman Point for a truly quiet evening, away from the chaotic traffic.
Aksa beach: If you don’t mind travelling a little, the quiet Aksa beach is a pretty place nestled a few hours away from the city. You can dine at one of the hotels nearby (The Resort and The Retreat being some of the best) and spend a memorable evening on the beach.
Sanjay Gandhi National Park: It’s surprising to see so much natural beauty when the rest of the city is reeling under smog and pollution. It’ll be a nice break before you have to get back to the hustle and bustle of your life.
Hanging Gardens: One of the most scenic places, it’s a lovely place to watch the sun set. But it’s an even better spot to watch it rise, since it is more tranquil in the morning.
