Amway India, in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industries-Indian Women Network (CII-IWN) Western region as wellness partner, organised a special knowledge session on Health and Cooking for the members of CII-IWN Maharashtra Chapter and Amway direct sellers. The session provided insights on food and nutrition and ways to make cooking an interesting affair of health and taste.

Sandeep, Prakash, Senior Vice-President, West, Amway India said, “We are proud to partner with CII-IWN as Wellness Partner and support them in their initiative to create a positive impact on the women in our society. Amway India has been driving entrepreneurship and has significantly contributed towards empowering women and we take pride in the fact that approximately 60% of our direct sellers are women and this is especially gratifying for us.”

The session highlighted the importance of food and nutrition followed by a live demonstration of healthy cooking with less oil using Amway Queen cookware by celebrity Chef Sanjay Pawar on healthy cooking.

Commenting on the initiative, Kalpana Unadkat Chairperson, CII IWN Maharashtra Chapter and Partner, Khaitan Co said, “Today’s women are more focused on their goals, be it career, or life and it is very important that while looking at bigger picture and goals one should not overlook small things.
There will always other ‘pressing priorities’ but in order to take on more challenges and reach the finish line, health and wellness should be at the top of the priority list as that directly affects our energy and stamina in the long run.”

CII’s Indian Women Network (IWN) is a platform for career women.
