Aladdin zips into telly-zone
'Aladdin' takes one back in time to the Middle East era of lavish palaces and vast deserts, flying carpets and the quest for the magic lamp. 'Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga' – with a generous dose of magic and mystery, the show is based on the age-old fantasy of a 20-year old boy, Aladdin. This show premieres on August 21, Monday to Friday, 9.00 pm on Sony SAB. Aladdin will retell the legendary folklore in a grander avatar, through action packed yet amusing scenarios with a contemporary twist. The lion-hearted character of Aladdin is played by none other than Siddharth Nigam. He is a charismatic rebel-thief who gets his work done promptly with his smooth-talking skills and street smartness. A lovable rogue and a hopeless romantic, he shares a beautiful relationship with his Ammi-jaan played by Smita Bansal.

Female fighter pilots take-off
Discovery's new show – 'Women Fighter Pilots' is the story of 3 women pioneers of our time, fighting the odds and changing mindsets. Discovery channel, will give an all-access 'boarding pass' to the viewers to delve deep into the lives of India's first generation of female combat aircraft pilots with its new series – 'Women Fighter Pilots'. It is a fascinating story of 3 women – Avani Chaturvedi, Bhawana Kanth and Mohana Singh. The 2-part series premieres on August 24 at 9.00 pm on Discovery Channel.

'Sony Marathi' TV channel launched
Sony TV has just launched Sony Marathi, a new TV regional channel which is a one-stop destination for the Marathi-speaking audience with its relatable content, specially curated for a cohesive and complete family viewing experience. N.P. Singh, MD & CEO of Sony said, “The launch of Sony Marathi is a milestone initiative. Aligned to the belief 'Vinnuya Attutt Naathi', our new channel aims to weave unbreakable relationships with its viewers, through content that is contemporary in nature, yet deeply rooted in tradition.” The new channel which offers original fiction and non-fiction programs that aim at breaking stereotypes will commence with a telecast of the prestigious 55th Maharashtra State Film Awards.

Zee Café, one of the leading English general entertainment channels in India, in association with BBC Worldwide, is set to bring two of the latest award-winning dramas – 'Unforgotten Season 1' and 'Doctor Foster Season 2' – as a part of the second edition of its successful property – BBC First. Filled with fury, deceit and some teardrops, the shows will enthral viewers and keep them hooked as they air on weekdays at 10.00 pm. 'Unforgotten', a crime drama series, is a masterpiece featuring two sharp police detectives in an exhilarating hunt as they dig out cold cases that involve historical disappearances and murders. DCI Cassie Stuart (Nicola Walker) and DI Sunny Khan (Sanjeev Bhaskar) break any stereotypes for detectives as they are both, brilliant and compassionate. Starting August 28, 'Unforgotten' will air every Tuesday at 10.00 pm, exclusively on Zee Café.
