Krystle and Dheeraj star in upcoming ‘dramedy’
A light hearted TV comedy-drama – 'Belan Waali Bahu' is on the cards. The show traces the lives of a mismatched couple Roopa Awasthi and Amarnath and how a ‘belan’ (rolling pin) plays an important role in their lives. The stunning Krystle is making a comeback on the silver screen with ‘Belan Wali Bahu’ as she will be essaying the lead role of ‘Roopa Awasthi’. She will be sharing the screen space with Dheeraj Sarna who will be playing the role of her husband in the show. Speaking about her first attempt in the comedy genre, Krystle D’souza said, “When the script was offered to me, I found it quite interesting as I had never explored this genre. Roopa’s clumsy and goofy nature intrigued me. ” Essaying the role of Amarnath, Dheeraj Sarna said, “I am loving the fact that I am getting to do all the things that I love. 'Belan Waali Bahu' is coming soon on Colors!

If someone really needs a fixer at the moment, it is the Chowdhury family that consists of a Grandfather Janki Prasad Chowdhury (Dada) and his Granddaughter Dali who lost her parents at a very young age to a car accident and has grown up to be a pampered, spoilt girl. The need of the hour is to find a fixer, who can bring Dali back to her roots with values and humility. ‘Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki’ is a show that is sure to instill a sense of closeness. The lead Kanhaiya, also the ‘fixer’ is a multi-faceted 'bawarchi' (cook) hired to bring an end to woes of the Chowdhury family. The show will star Vishal Vashishta in the role of Kanhaiya and will mark the Hindi Television debut of the popular Bengali actress Sweta Bhattacharya as the spoiled Dali. Veteran Bengali actor Deepankar De will essay the role of Janki Prasad Chowdhury (Dada). Starting January 1, 2018, Monday-Saturday at 09.30 p.m. on Star Bharat.
