Ananth Mahadevan’s comeback with ‘Aadat Se Majboor’
Sony SAB is all set to launch a new office comedy called ‘Aadat Se Majboor’. The show is set in the backdrop of a publishing house and how five fresher’s Sunny, JD, Ranjan, Riya and Sam come together under one roof where they go through various hilarious circumstances in their first job. The show will witness a comeback of versatile ‘evergreen’ veteran Ananth Mahadevan. Ananth who is back to acting on television after two decades will essay the role of a boss who manages a magazine publication. His character is edgy who tries to do multiple tasks at one time but fails to finish even a single task. He loves to keep his employees on toes. Ananth’s will also be seen as Riya’s uncle, who has joined the company as a feature writer. He always favors Rhea as she is his niece and also the owner of the company. Confirming the news Ananth said, “'Aadat Se Majboor' fits the bill perfectly for me. Apart from the concept, what prompted me to say yes to this project was that I get a flexibility of 15 days to work unlike others, who work 25 days a month.”
 
‘Anything is possible for me ’ on TV
Population Foundation of India’s (PFI) entertainment-education show 'Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon' (MKBKSH), aired on Doordarshan, claims to have garnered a cumulative reach of 400 million viewers. PFI has now released a web-series on the real-life impact of the show. The Reel to Real series narrates five stories of people who were inspired by MKBKSH and took steps to engender change in their homes and villages. Within four days of release, the videos have got over 3,50,000 cumulative views on 'Youtube' and 'Facebook'. According to PFI Executive Director Poonam Muttreja, it was for the first time the narratives have been captured in the “Reel to Real” films.

Matt Damon to exec-produce survival comedy series
Actor Matt Damon has come on board to exec-produce a survival comedy series, 'The Green Beret's Guide to Surviving the Apocalypse'. The 46-year-old actor will back the venture, which has been ordered by Netflix, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The unscripted series is described an anthology that is a blend of humour and usable survival skills. Each episode narrates the story of its own contained apocalypse that the show's hero somehow manages to survive. Military veterans Shawn Vance, a former US Special Forces Green Beret and Daril Fanin, an ex-combat medic in the US Army will star and also serve as executive producers on the show.     The show is set for an eight-episode first season.
