TV actor Simran recreates ‘Mother India’ magic
The young and beautiful, Simran Pareenja, who is seen portraying the role of Kali in social drama 'Kaala Teeka' is earning rave reviews for her performance. Recently, the makers of the show recreated an iconic scene from the cult classic ‘Mother India’ featuring the legendary actress Nargis Dutt, and Simran's spirited rendition of it left everyone on the sets applauding as soon as the shot was over. The scene which had left a powerful impact has been again beautifully enacted by the gorgeous young actor Simran in this dramatic show. In the upcoming track, viewers can look forward to a hard-hitting, dramatic sequence where Kali’s elder daughter (Pavitra) accidentally falls into a well. Kali, in true Mother India style, saves her daughter by pulling the cart around the well due to which the rope attached to the cart propels her up. A creatively satisfied Simran said, “I actually shot this scene for three hours and pulled the real cart, walking around in circles bare foot in the mud. In the whole process, I chipped my nails and there was severe pain in my shoulders mid-way through the shoot. Before we shot this sequence, I watched Nargis-ji who had enacted a similar scene so well in the iconic film Mother India." Kaala Teeka airs on Zee TV from Monday to Friday at 7 pm.
