Popular Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi (of ‘3 Idiots’ fame) will make his debut in the OTT digital web-zone opposite the vivacious TV star Asha Negi (of ‘Pavitra Rishta’).

The ALT Balaji web show is a heart-warming story of a filthy-rich diamond merchant Anuj (Sharman) who is enamored by a simple, middle-class sales-girl Gauravi (Asha) who is a smart, charming employee in his company.

The web-show started streaming on ALT-Balaji from April 25, reveals Sharman, “A rich Gujarati businessman meets a Marathi girl Gauravi (Asha), a simple woman who is good at speaking English. Both of them bond over vada paav and garam chaai on the streets during the drizzling Mumbai rains. Gauravi likes a simple life without any miracles and accidents. For her, perfection lies in imperfection and relationships are best when they are imperfect. Eventually, these two different yet similar individuals fall in love and get married. But like every love story, it is not a rosy path ahead but there are thorny patches as well. They encounter stormy hurdles in their relationship when Anuj’s younger brother starts to question his decisions in life. Also our trending ‘Baarish’ trailer has a cliffhanger ending, as Gauravi gets arrested by the police,” shares Joshi who in real-life like his co-star Asha loves “getting wet in the rains”

Enthuses TV star Asha, “Rains have always played a romantic catalyst in hundreds of our Bollywood movies, but this time it’s happening in a web-series,” laughs the spunky North Indian actress who had to speak Marathi phrases to go with her character.
