Small screen town down with the IPL fever!

Thursday, April 13, 2017

The Indian Premier League (IPL), a sporting event that comes with an excitement of its own making it the most watched cricket league in the world, is giving viewers the adrenaline rush with its share of close finishes! While every fan has a favourite team of their own, Television artistes talk about the team they are ardently supporting...

Dalljiet Kaur

I am torn between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab as one is my body and the other, my soul. But my heart beats for both. Also, as I am the daughter of an Army man and I have memories and love from almost every part of India, I'll not be surprised to be celebrating the win of absolutely any team by the end of it. IPL brings out the true sportsmanship and love for cricket, because in every team you have at least one person from the Indian team you absolutely adore. So, it's  the love of true cricket by the end of it which is what I am practising.

Shardul Pandit

I think I will support Mumbai as Aamchi Mumbai is the best. This city has become my hometown so I have to support Mumbai. However, I also like Pune because of the players as I am a huge Dhoni fan, off and on the field.

Karan Wahi

RCB, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians because they are strong teams. I have friends playing in the team.

Jasmin Bhasin

Mumbai Indians, because I am a huge Sachin Tendulkar fan. Jai Maharashtra.

Pritam Singh

This year, I am supporting the Royal Challengers Bangalore as I am a huge Virat Kohli fan! Their entire team is just amazing, and I am sure this year too, we will get to watch them play some great cricket!

Ssharad Malhotraa

Undoubtedly, KKR because firstly I hail from Kolkata and secondly Shah Rukh Khan is the owner of the team and also happens to be my all-time favourite actor.

Rithvik Dhanjani

This year again, I am rooting for the Mumbai Indians as I am a huge fan of Sachin! Yes so Mumbai Indians is one of my favourite teams, and I am looking forward to them winning the cup hopefully this year!

Arjun Bijlani

I love this sport. IPL is the best exhibition of  talent, both local as well as International. And I'm supporting Mumbai because I'm from Mumbai and I love the icon player of Mumbai.

Shantanu Maheshwari

I am again rooting for my home team KKR this year! I really miss watching the matches at Eden Garden back home, but this year looking forward to watch some great cricket by Yusuf Pathan, Gautam Gambhir and the entire Knights team! Hope they win the cup!

Ankit Bathla

I'm a big fan of t20 cricket and IPL is the best platform for it. I'm supporting Sunrisers Hyderabad. They are the dark horse of the IPL, they have won the title twice and with two successive wins at the start, they are on their way for the third.

Rohan Mehra

I am very excited to follow the 10th season of the IPL. I will be cheering for the Mumbai Indians, as they have an amazing team! Looking forward to watching my favourites Malinga, Rohit Sharma and Harbhajan Singh on the field this season!

Sheena Bajaj

I love IPL for its sheer entertainment value and unlimited cricket. I support RCB for their aggressive game and they also have legends like Virat, ABD and Gayle & Watson.

Vivek Dahiya

I am rooting for my home team Kings XI Punjab! Really hoping to see them win, as they have some great bowlers and batsmen! I look forward to watching some of my favourites Glen Maxwell, Virender Sehwag and Murli Vijay play some great cricket this season!

Laksh

IPL is the best way to enjoy the shortest form of cricket. I support KKR for two reasons, one because the team is very consistent and second, because they have Shah Rukh Khan!
