‘Little Singham’ will ‘arrest’ the attention of all kids: Rohit Shetty

Rarely has one seen the macho ‘showman’ film director and TV host, Rohit Shetty  flaunting his warm bonding on stage with a huge bunch of cherubic lively kids (children of local cops and media-persons) as was evident at the classy launch event of this new innovative animation series, ‘Little Singham’ on the widely-watched ‘Discovery Kids’ TV channel which was co-hosted by Reliance Animation and Rohit Shetty Picturez. Elaborates mentor Rohit, “As is obvious, this amazing animation show targeted children between five to 11 years is inspired by the iconic movie-character ‘Singham’.”

It has been India’s most successful ‘super-cop’ brand and the title of mega-hit Ajay Devgn starrers, which was hugely popular with kids for the infectious dialogue-phrase ‘Aatta Mazhi Satakli’. Out here, the daring chhota cop ‘Little Singham’  defends the residents of his (fictitious) town called ‘Mirchi Nagar’. We will also incorporate ‘real-life’ bravery stories of dynamic kids. Our TV show will surely ‘arrest’ the attention of all the little kids at home. But off-screen, I salute the real-life brave cops as I feel they are the real heroes who sacrifice so much, to protect the citizens,” insists Rohit, who is currently shooting for his Ranveer Singh action-thriller ‘Simmba’ also has future plans to make an action-movie revolving around a female cop and possibly title it as ‘Lady Singham’. Little Singham will go on air from Saturday, April 21 between 1:30 pm and 5:30 pm on channel Discovery Kids.
