Esha Deol: no faking - it's actual baking

Stunningly pretty fitness-and-football freak Esha Deol Takhtani, who “disliked cooking before my marriage”, is now almost a kitchen queen with her doting hubby Bharat Takhtani loving her home-cooked khaana.

Taking her new-found cooking passion to the next level the feisty Esha has convincingly played a ‘Chef’ in this upcoming musical short-film ‘Cakewalk’ to be released digitally, co-directed by film journalist-turned-author-turned-film-maker Ram Kamal Mukherjee.

The effervescent Esha, who is pregnant, for the second time, is evidently excited because “not only have I enjoyed acted in this short film which is so lovingly made by Ram, just like a feature film, but it will have its formal movie ‘premiere’ as well. Whilst shooting for this realistic movie, at an actual ‘5-star’ hotel kitchen I got to interact with the in-house Chefs and learnt the applied art of baking cakes. We even managed a challenging ‘baked Alaska cake’ which has ice-cream as its ingredients,” enthused Esha who is a huge addict of the digital medium and is open to web-series or even hosting TV shows on cooking, baking or even maternity matters.

“There is a subtle social message in entertaining ‘Cakewalk’ on whether or not, to pin all your hopes on someone, and on accepting apologies,” insists the ‘dhoom machaale’ oomph-girl, who will be busy shooting for an ad-commercial on Valentine’s Day. Asked if after pack-up, she would celebrate with her mom (Hema Malini) and dad (Dharmendra) she jestfully quips, “Arrey, let them enjoy their Val-Day, why should I be the kabaab-mein-haddi”.
