‘Controversial’ Pehredaar – bride Tejaswi in ek naya rishta’

Tuesday, October 10, 2017

The makers of the show 'Pehredaar Piya Ki', which was embroiled in controversy for its disgusting, regressive content, are back with a new show with almost the same cast. The title of the new show is 'Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya'.

'Pehredaar...' went off air following the objection raised to its plot line of showing an 18-year-old woman marrying a 10-year-old naïve boy.

The new show will see Tejaswi Prakash as Diya. "We hope this new show 'Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya' with its strong characters and concept will enthral the viewers. We are glad to witness immense anticipation and excitement for the show and look forward to entertaining the viewers," said director Sumeet Mittal in a statement.

The makers said the story of the new show is completely different laced with modern outlook. Set in Rajasthan, 'Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya', is a finite show, which will challenge the conventional perception of man being the protector of a woman and turn this stereotypical thought on its head.

The directors claim that this is a never-told-before story of a unique relationship, which is based not on a simple promise made to a benevolent dying man.

This is a never-told-before story of a unique relationship, which is based not on birth, blood, marriage, love, or any other interests like wealth and power but on a simple promise made to a benevolent dying man.

It will also feature Jiten Lalwani, Girish Sachdev, Siddharth Shivpuri, Aditi Deshpande, Harmeet Kaur, Meenu Ranchal, Achherr Bhaardwaaj, Kasturi Maitra, Manisha Saxena and Varunn Jain.

However, don’t expect immediate results from your efforts. A minor misunderstanding at work should not be allowed to spoil your day. Important developments within the family will make you happy.
