A Spectacular Salute to the Indian Army

The Indian Army is one of the most formidable fighting forces in the world - combat ready and capable of defending the country against any threat. HISTORY TV18’s upcoming original series, FirePower: Defending India puts the spotlight on the Indian Army’s weaponry, logistics, technology, training and tactics.

The fabulous realistic authentic patriotic show is also a salute-tribute to those Indian Army soldiers who put themselves in the line of fire, to defend the motherland. The weekly series shall unfold over six thematic half-hour episodes, featuring spectacular battlefield recreations in a variety of combat scenarios. It takes viewers to remote outposts and the frontline with artillery batteries; inside Special Forces missions and recon ops; inside battle tanks, helicopter drop zones and into the heat of heart-stopping infantry charges.

As the action explodes on screen, incredible details emerge about the Indian Army’s challenges and capabilities. The class-leading production is packed with compelling visuals, shot in diverse locations - from the burning Thar Desert to icy Siachen, the world’s highest battlefield. On-ground, helicopter-mounted and helmet-cam HighDef images are the unique highlights.
