Tuesday, April 17, 2018

Mumbai: Karnatak Sporting Association displayed superb fighting spirit and did well to put up a determined fight against the experienced Bodyline SC before going down by the odd goal in three in a thrilling Women’s match of the MDFA League. International Bhagyashree Dalvi scored both the goals for Bodyline, while Shainzi Tamang scored KSA’s lone goal.

The younger KSA outfit fought tooth and nail and managed to match the efforts of their superior opponents and hold them to a goalless draw by the at end of the first session.

However, after switching ends Bodyline finally managed to breakdown KSA’s staunch resistance when their former junior India player Bhagyashree scored her first goal in the 31st minute to put her team in front. Ten minutes later, Bhagyashree was again on target with the second goal to give her side a 2-0 lead.

The KSA girls fought on gamely and managed to pull one back when Shainzi successfully converted from a penalty in the 48th minute.
