MUMBAI RACES: HOW THEY RAN LAST WEEK
The death of good, old Rodeo was indeed quite sad. The horse owned by Mr. Geoffrey Nagpal has been running for a pretty long time. In its early career however, he has recorded quite a few spirited runs. Obviously, it was cut out for long distance races. It was moving quite well in the Byculla Club Trophy (2800 metres) – with no visible strain. The winner in the race was Booker Jones. Second in the race Rodeo was only a short head behind.
An easy winner was Incentio in the Indian Air Force Trophy, beating Mizilla Gold. There was a keen finish with Greater Mumbai Police Cup between Winter Renaissance and Rousseau with the former winning by a 3 length.
