The 'Save Water' campaign is aimed at making Mumbaikars realise the importance of saving water and letting them know the graveness of the crisis. At the moment the city is receiving good rains as well as facing water crises. The BMC is making all possible efforts to save the taps from running dry. The civic body, is in plans to start the 'Save Water' campaign with no celebrity as the brand ambassadors.
Commenting on the issue, Mayor Sunil Prabhu said, “We are not going to involve any celebrities in our campaign as brand ambassadors, myself being the first citizen of the city and Municipal Commissioner Sitaram Kunte being the ideal caretakers of the city will lead the campaign so that the people start saving water.”
The corporation wants the campaign to appeal to all the citizens and the mayor and muncipal commissioner are the known faces, who people will look up to. People need to conserve water wherever needed, leaking taps must be repaired so that more and more water is saved.
