Saturday, January 26, 2019

Do you want to change your interiors this summer but not sure where to start and what exactly to do? There are tons of effortless ways to renovate your living space and transform your home to the upcoming  season. Here are some of the trends which can help you welcome the season and decorate your space.

First impression is the best impression
Fill your empty spaces on the yard with some beds and flowers like lilies, zinnia, hibiscus, musk rose or marigold and plants like hydrangea or hostas. Replace all the candles, heavy metals with fresh flowers. This will also help cool the place.

White, light blue and lemon Yellow are the colours of the season. Use these colours to make your living area bold and bright: There is nothing more powerful than a colour when it comes to your living space. Replace all the window curtains with the above mentioned colours. Add art to the wall by placing it with beautiful paintings.
Antiques never go out of vogue so place the corner of the room with some lovely pieces. Try using furnitures made of cane and other wood along with cotton textured sofas. You can bring the outside in by adding the ceramic mosaic tables.

Make space for sunlight in your home
Pull up the curtains and let the warm rays of the sun gush inside. Keeping the windows open will help bring in both the streaks of sunlight and the cool breeze which will make a huge impact by creating positivity.  Small changes like changing the curtains and adding lighther fabric or even replacing them will surely make a difference in bringing the summer feeling.

Get with the new sensation of the season – Add linen, cotton & prints to your bed room
Mix & match with the florals, horizontals and geometrics. Add linen and cotton fabrics to your furnitures and beds. Use linen bed spreads, comforter and pillow covers. Repaint your wall with lemon yellow or white. Always keep fresh flowers like red or yellow roses, orchids and money plant or bamboo shoots in your room which makes the room look fresh and beautiful. Add cotton curtains with light fabric.  Fix a fancy chandeliers on the ceiling and place a velvet sofa in your room which will give a royal look.

Work on your kitchen to add the summer feeling:
No matter how of a summer feeling a home may provide, the kitchen space always remains a task as the cooking happens there and hence leaves the heat steaming most of the time. Place sliced lemons with water in a small bowl along with peeled fresh flowers to keep it cool which will create a fresh aura. Repaint your kitchen walls with light colours. Keep the windows open and allow the fresh air which will be a mix of cool breeze and warm air.

Try cooking early to mid-morning when the day is at it’s coolest. This will help reduce heat in the kitchen. If you have a kitchen which has multiple source of lights, please avoid using them all and use just one of them to keep things cool. Try and do slow cooking as the machine will not emit too much heat.

Give a summer touch to your bathrooms
First most important thing is to paint the walls white or light. Replace your towels with white or light blue colours. Make sure there is enough light inside your bathroom. If you lack natural source of light, please try and fix the lights on your ceiling which will make your bathroom bright and nice. Place orchids or lilies in an artistic vase. Place potpourri’s and essential oils which will release fresh aroma.
