The Green Safari!
There cannot be any closer way to experience encounters with the Royal Bengal Tiger, leopards, sloth bears, gaur, nilgai, sambar, spotted deer, barking deer, reptiles and water birds along with other species of animals, but by visiting the Tadoba Andhari Reserve which is the largest national park in Maharashtra. Tadoba in Chandrapur is drenched in all shades of green and home to some of the most beautiful animal species in India.

The name Tadoba is the name of the God Tadoba or Taru, praised by the tribal people. Legend has it he lived in the dense forests of the Tadoba and Andhari region. The Andhari River that meanders through the forest got its name from the region.

At Tadoba, you are bound to find tigers roaming around the park, lazy and content, occasionally bothering to acknowledge your presence. Most often you will find them enjoying their haven in solitude or with their close companions.

A team of Press Photographers from Mumbai including The Afternoon D&C's Azad Shrivastav set off on a safari to capture the essence of the wildlife that prevails there.
