Police Academy; Mumbai!
Maharashtra Police held a recruitment drive for 273 vacancies. The Police got 36,428 online applications. Applicants braved the Mumbai sun and had a gruelling few days, displaying their physical prowess at the Saket Police Ground at Thane. Daily, 2,500 applicants are called for outdoor tests, the last of which will be held on 9 April.
On the whole, 31,523 men and 4,905 women participated in the physical examination so far. The process of recruitment at every stage has been rigorous and includes a record of their physical attributes and testing of their abilities in sports like Long Jump, Running, Shot Put, Pull Ups and many more.
After this, 4,000 applicants are expected to be called for a written test on 16 April. 25 Very Close Circuit Television (VCCTVs) will record all the action to ensure transparency is maintained during the examination.
