Little hearts on Childrens Day!
While the rest of the world celebrated International Children’s Day on June 1, in India its 'Bal Diwas' which is celebrated on November 14. Children’s Day is celebrated commemorating the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru – the first Prime Minister of India, who was known for the love he had for children.
However, even as Childrens Day is celebrated with great pomp and gaiety in schools and other institutions, there are some children who are not the lucky ones to celebrate the day. The Afternoon Despatch & Courier's Azad Shrivastav captures the mood of little ones on the eve of this Childrens Day.
