A City Scarred
MUMBAI, the city that never sleeps was left paralysed on Tuesday and has been limping back to recovery ever since. After many years, the city was brought to a standstill by the downpour that even brought the Railways, the lifeline of the city to its knees. Lakhs of people were stranded at different locations and faced uncertainty. The humane side of Mumbaikar shone through and religious places, offices, pandals and ordinary people offered help to the distressed. Yesterday too, while the city was crawling back and counting its losses, ordinary Mumbaikars forgot their ordeals, put the pieces together and started their day afresh.

The Afternoon Despatch & Courier lensmen Santosh Gupta and Azad Shrivastav waded through stale and undrained waters to capure remnants of the injured and the fresh scars of the city.

Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20)Don’t give up a chance to turn an awkward situation into a profitable one. Be diplomatic with colleagues and try not giving your own views in front of others as you could send the wrong signals especially since you are delicately poised for progress. The success of youngsters will make you happy.
