Art Exhibitions In The City: The Works Of A Master
Shankar Balvant Palsikar will always be remembered with love as Professor Palsikar by his many colleagues and students at Sir J. J. School of Art. To celebrate the centenary year of his birth, National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the Shankar Palsikar Art Foundation, in collaboration with The Raza Foundation, New Delhi, are organising a major exhibition with an aim to honour the visionary who shaped the course of modern painting. Do join in to witness his unique mastery over the three fundamental forms of expressions — drawing, portrait-painting and composition. You will find that his paintings do not belong to any style and that he had his own way of painting that comes with a myriad of expressions and moods. The exhibition has been curated and designed by Arvind Hate.
