Just Out: New Beauty Products We Love
I was really excited about TBC’s new gel scrub even before I knew what skin solutions it offered, mostly because it’s sold as a ‘peeling’ scrub. There aren’t enough peel-off masks and scrubs in the market anymore and sorely missing some of my favourites, I was looking forward to stripping this off after letting it work its magic on my skin for a few minutes. However, when they say peel off, they’re talking about the dead skin that rolls off your face, not the product. The pineapple, pomegranate and keratinase content effectively sweeps this away (use it like you would a regular exfoliating scrub, except remember to do so on dry, clean skin) and is not harsh. I don’t have too much dead skin on my face (although dull and flaky is often the result of spending too much time in all the pollution outdoors), so I tried a little of this on a particularly problematic spot on my toe. While it isn’t as magical as suggested, it did get rid of the dead skin for at least a day, making it a great go-to product if you’re looking for a quick cleansing ritual before a big event. On my face, blackheads and a few whiteheads on my nose were reduced effectively without leading to any breakouts or chafing my sensitive skin. It will leave you refreshed, unclogged and glowing all day long, but you will have to use it regularly to see any significant changes in skin quality.
